VWLD completes transfer of Deventer and kicks off the next development phase

VolkerWessels Logistics Development (VWLD) has officially taken ownership of the site at Londenstraat 10 in Deventer. This strategically located plot of 26,570 m² on the Kloosterlanden business park marks the starting point for the development of a modern and future‑proof distribution center of approximately 17,000 m². With the transfer now complete, VWLD is moving forward with great enthusiasm into the next phase: redevelopment, marketing, and identifying suitable future users. The location is situated on one of the best‑connected logistics corridors in the Netherlands, directly along the A1 and A50, and benefits from Deventer’s growing role as a logistics hub

Strong Electrical Capacity – Ready for Modern Logistics

A key advantage of this site is its robust existing power connection with a contracted capacity of 1,680 kW. This ensures that VWLD can directly meet the energy needs of modern logistics users—such as automation, EV charging infrastructure, and climate‑controlled operations—without net congestion becoming a limiting factor.

Actively Seeking Users

In the coming period, VWLD will begin the active marketing phase to attract tenants. The design, created by Stripes Architecten, is flexible and suitable for either one or two users. Sustainability and high-quality integration into the surrounding area are central pillars of the concept.

With the Deventer acquisition now secured, VWLD continues to build on its ambition to deliver high-quality, future‑ready logistics developments that create long-term value for users, investors and the region.
