VolkerWessels Logistics Development acquires former Krehalon location in Deventer
VolkerWessels Logistics Development (VWLD) has acquired the former Krehalon site at Londenstraat 10 in Deventer. This strategically located plot of 26,570 m² on the Kloosterlanden industrial estate offers space for the development of a modern and sustainable distribution center of over 17,000 m², including a mezzanine, office space, and 86 parking spaces. In the coming months, the existing buildings will be demolished, after which construction of the new facility can begin around mid-2026.
The location on the Kloosterlanden business park – the largest industrial area in Deventer with over 300 companies – ensures excellent accessibility via the A1 and A50 motorways. The site also features a high-capacity power connection with a contracted capacity of 1,680 kW.
Deventer has been rapidly developing as a logistics hotspot in recent years, partly due to the presence of many retailers. VWLD is responding to this trend with a flexible and future-proof design by Stripes Architecten, aimed at one or two tenants.
The design places strong emphasis on sustainability and integration of the building into its surroundings, enhancing biodiversity.
Marketing for leasing will commence shortly.
Seller Krehalon was advised by Cushman & Wakefield and JPR Advocaten. VWLD received legal counsel from Habraken Rutten.
