A PLEASANT WORKING ENVIRONMENT, SUSTAINABILITY AND A (LOGISTICALLY) EFFICIENT BUILDING

Bavelse Berg

A PLEASANT WORKING ENVIRONMENT, SUSTAINABILITY AND A (LOGISTICALLY) EFFICIENT BUILDING WERE THE MOST IMPORTANT SPEARHEADS IN THE DESIGN OF THIS DISTRIBUTION CENTRE. THE PROJECT IS LOCATED AT A LIVELY LOCATION DIRECTLY ADJACENT TO THE A27 HIGHWAY EXIT TO THE EAST OF BREDA NEAR THE BREEPARK EVENTS LOCATION AND THE SOUTH OF THE MINERVUM INDUSTRIAL ESTATE.

FOR THIS PROJECT, THE DECISION WAS MADE TO USE SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS OR MATERIALS THAT ARE EASY TO RECYCLE.

Among other things, the use of windows in the façade in combination with LED lighting with movement sensors has resulted in both a sustainable lighting solution and an increase in the quality of the working environment.

Breda

Breda is one of the southern hubs with direct highway connections to, among others, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Antwerp and Eindhoven. The link between water and road transport is also excellent because there are several barge and rail terminals with daily connections to the seaports of Antwerp and Rotterdam less than 10 minutes from Bavelse Berg.

The industrial estate also scores high in terms of accessibility for personnel because of its location near Breda; the Bavelse Berg is easily accessible by bus or even by bike. This - due to the increasing shortage of personnel - is playing an increasingly decisive role in determining company locations.
